July 6 through 7 Denali National Park and Preserve

July 6th we are inroute from Fairbanks to Denali.  As we get close to Denali the scenery begins to improve. We stayed at the Denali Motel and RV campground.  We had a nice view from our Camper.

Magie picked some of the wild flowers that are growing all over the place.  It's been a very wet spring this year and everything is still green.

The afternoon of the 6th we drove into the Park and took the highway 15 miles into the interior of the Park.

Just a sample of the wildlife we spotted on our drive into the park.

A chipmunk and a Caribou, thats it.  No Bear or Moose. 

The next day Margie wanted to go to the Dog sled demonstration and then we hiked the trails for a while.

 

The bells work.  We've seen no bears on any of the trails.  Next time I'm going to hide the bells.
